About

Now in it’s second year, this weekend-long event on 15–16 March 2025 will celebrate the many and diverse ways that residents of Orange (and surrounding towns) are growing food. The Edible Garden Trail movement has been growing for years around Australia. Each Trail is locally run and independent, celebrating and showcasing their own community, for the benefit of the community.

The Orange Edible Garden Trail is a not-for-profit event. All proceeds from ticket sales go directly toward supporting school and community food-growing initiatives through garden grants. These grants enable recipients to enhance their gardens by funding items such as gardening tools, seeds, soil, compost, mulch, building materials, kitchen equipment, or even training for educators.

“If there’s one community development slowly growing around the country that excites me beyond my usual state of agitation, then put the glasses down and dance around with your hands in the air like you just don’t care because for me, Edible Garden Trails are the pulse!”
